Traffic rights for airlines designated by Sweden
Routes which may be operated by the designated airline(s) of Sweden, in both directions: Points in Sweden, intermediate points, points in the South Korea, points beyond.
The designated airline(s) may on all or any flights, omit calling at any of the above intermediate and/or beyond points provided that the agreed services on the routes begin at the point(s) of origin in the respective country.
The designated airline(s) may operate between the territories of both Contracting Parties combining either intermediate points or points beyond, or both without exercising traffic rights between those points and the territory of the other Contracting Party.
A total of three intermediate or beyond points may serve as points with own stop-over rights.
The exercise of fifth freedom traffic rights to and from intermediate and beyond points shall be subject to an agreement between both aeronautical authorities.

Capacity regulations
The right to carry traffic between points of the specified routes located in the territory of the other Contracting Party and points in third countries shall be exercised in the interests of an orderly development of international air transport in such a way that the capacity is related to:
a) traffic demand to and from the territory of the Contracting Party designating the airlines;
b) traffic demand existing in the areas through which the agreed services pass, taking account of local and regional air services; and
c) the requirements of through airline operation.
South Korea has concluded a horizontal air service agreement with EU
EU’s horizontal agreement aims at bringing all Member States bilateral agreements with South Korea to be in line with certain EU provisions. This means that some of the articles in the bilateral agreement between Sweden and South Korea no longer applies, since they are replaced by the provisions in the horizontal agreement.
