To be allowed to teach, the instructor is required to

• has had a driving license for category A1, A2, A or B for a total of three of the last ten years
• can be considered suitable as a instructor in the education with regard to their personal circumstances
• have documented pedagogical education covering at least six months or experience of teaching for at least one year.

In addition to what is stated above, the instructor must

• have a driving license with category A1, A2, A, or
• have a driving license with authorization B, and
  • have an AM license obtained through an approved knowledge test or by exchanging a driving license for a Class I moped, or
  • have a valid driving license for a Class I or Class II moped, or
  • have undergone driver training for category AM or a driver training for license for a moped class II, as documented by a qualified trainer.
