Step 1 - Clear the vehicle through the Swedish Customs Service

Vehicles imported from a country that is not a member of the EU must be cleared through customs. Report the vehicle to the customs office immediately at the point of entry to Sweden. After reporting the vehicle, you may transport it to another place in Sweden and declare it for customs purposes there. Then you will need to deposit an amount as security for the charges and duties imposed on import.
