The Swedish Transport Agency has obtained a new interpretation concerning crediting of theoretical knowledge from EASA regarding the subject 090-Communications.
The Swedish Transport Agency has obtained a new interpretation from EASA regarding crediting of theoretical knowledge. For all CPL- and ATPL training courses and theoretical examinations, the subject 090-Communications will have to be included, unless the concerned candidates has previously passed a theoretical examination containing this subject.
Only candidates who have passed a theoretical examination including both 091-VFR Communications and 092-IFR Communications on the IR, CPL or ATPL-level are exempted from this requirement.
The new interpretation will also apply on VFR-only examinations where the candidate previously only have a pass in the 091-VFR Communications. In these cases, theoretical training and examination in the 090-Communications subject is required.
The interpretation also affects bridge-examinations for CPL where 090-Communications will have to be included in the theoretical examination, unless the candidate holds a pass in the subject since before.
The new interpretation concerns all new students. Students who have commenced their theoretical training are not affected.
New theoretical examination registration forms which covers the new interpretation have been published, see links below.
