Application for the Establishment of a Restricted Area or a Danger Area
Information on the requirements for applying for the establishment of a restricted area or a danger area.
Important Time Requirements
For temporarily established areas, a complete application must be submitted to the Swedish Transport Agency no later than seven weeks before the planned date for establishing the danger area.
For permanently established areas, a complete application must be submitted to the Swedish Transport Agency no later than five months before the planned date for establishment.
If the Application Concerns UAS/Drone Operations
If the purpose of the application is to enable operations with UAS/drones flying beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS), the matter is also handled as a geographical UAS zone.
The processing of geographical UAS zones is subject to a fee in accordance with Chapter 2, Section 7 of TSFS 2024:78 – the Swedish Transport Agency’s Regulations on Fees.
