Switzerland
The air service agreement between EU, its Member States and Switzerland entered into force 1 June 2002. The agreement replaces the bilateral agreements between Switzerland and the EU’s Member States.
Existing traffic rights in the bilateral agreements that are not covered by the multilateral agreement may be exercised, provided that there is no discrimination on the grounds of nationality and competition is not distorted.
Trafikrättigheter
Air carriers from the EU and Switzerland are granted traffic rights between any point in Switzerland and any point in the EU.
In the agreement is stated that the Parties shall undertake negotiations on the possible extension of the scope of the traffic rights to cover traffic rights between points within Switzerland and between points within the EU. Such an agreement has so far not been reached.
Capacity
There is no restrictions as to the capacity.
